About Our Speaker


Susan Kleiman, AVP, Compliance Counsel
Gallagher 

Susan Kleiman is the Area Vice President, Compliance Counsel on Gallagher’s Northeast Regional Legislative Compliance team. Sue joined Gallagher in 2020 with over twenty years of experience providing compliance guidance to employer sponsors of employee benefit plans. Prior to joining Gallagher, Sue was a Senior Attorney in the Washington, D.C. office of Arent Fox Schiff.

Her practice focused on designing, administering, and providing compliance guidance to health and welfare, qualified retirement, and executive compensation plans. In her role at Gallagher, Sue assists clients with compliance matters affecting employer-sponsored health and welfare plans, including ERISA, health care reform, cafeteria plans, and various other laws. Sue’s role at Gallagher is focused on translating complex legal concepts into practical, easy-to-understand guidance for employers.

Sue is a graduate of Emory University, and American University’s Washington College of Law, cum laude, and is a licensed attorney in the District of Columbia.
