Julie Allen was born and raised in Orange County, NY and has lived in Salisbury, Maryland for one year now. Julie achieved her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Economics from the State University of New York at Oneonta. Ms. Allen is a Business Services Specialist at the Lower Shore Workforce Alliance, a division of the Tri-County Council for the Eastern Shore of Maryland and a board member of the Eastern Shore Society for Human Resource Managers.

Bonnie Nay was born and raised in the Washington, D.C. area, but has lived in Salisbury for 30 years now.  She has over 30  years of experience working in the Human Services profession.  Bonnie currently works as the Job Placement Coordinator in the Business Services office of the Lower Shore Workforce Alliance (LSWA).  There she works with local businesses to help them with their workforce development needs and with individuals in the LSWA  Adult program to help them find employment. She also works with individuals in the LSWA Youth/Young Adult program to place them into work experiences so that they can learn important job skills and find a career path that interests them.  Both Bonnie and Julie are fully dedicated to preparing and upskilling the workforce, addressing company hiring needs, and promoting good jobs that lead to great careers on the Eastern Shore.

Join Ms. Julie Allen and Ms. Bonnie Nay in discussing how partnering with your local workforce board can assist with the employment needs of your company. Developing certification classes, partnering with local community colleges on workforce education initiatives, and developing recruitment strategies are some of the ways they can work to help your company with finding and training new employees.
