Program:

Today’s biggest societal issues are also workplace issues. HR now plays a pivotal role in driving social change, because those changes begin at work.  The workplace is the intersection of people, culture, and business. When the three are aligned, people thrive, businesses grow, societies advance. SHRM and the HR profession operate at the nexus of this intersection, and the issues we face are also the ones shaping our society in the 21st century. The skills gap, immigration, the emergence of automation and AI, harassment, equity and inclusion—they all show up at work.

 Deniece Maston

 

Deniece Maston, SHRM-CP, has over 19 years of extensive HR experience. Her expertise includes employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition, benefits, and compensation. Prior to SHRM, Deniece honed her skills in human resources across numerous roles within the government contracting industry. Deniece holds several credentials, including the SHRM California Law HR, Workplace Investigations, HR Department of One, and Inclusive Workplace Culture Specialty Credentials, and the People Manager Qualification. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University.
